Imagine you
started a journey of thousand times a thousand lifetimes. And before your
adventure you made a plan, a goal for your trip. This very aim is Pankarma;
a grandiose strategy, permeating all of your lives, embodying your soul's
most desired challenge.
Beyond the path of life
If you haven't heard of the term 'pankarma', it has its natural explanation
as I myself have launched the term. With the term, I mean the 'basic theme'
that forms the basis of an individual's lifetime, over a long period of
time. It can be said that each incarnation contains a number of
'milestones', characteristics, which constantly recur in each life epoch.
Definition of milestones
What exactly is a 'milestone' in a person's life. In this context, it refers
to certain fundamental events that always recur. Incarnations come and go
but these foundations always reappear. To give an example, it could be that
the individual is moved to a far off place beyond the home environment,
during a phase in their life. This will affect the individual in a certain
way and the influence will therefore return time and time again.
The period of pankarma
For how long does the individual retain their specific pankarma? This is
uncertain, but it is probably a very long period of time. We are probably
talking here about a complete 'turn in the cosmos', a complete cycle of
Universal transformation, including thousands of different incarnations.
Such a cycle begins with the individual as an insignificant elementary
particle and ends when the individual has evolved into a 'hyperbubble' of
galaxy clusters; a super being.
Who chooses the individual's pankarma?
The universe is wondrous and unfathomable. All possibilities are available
and the individual probably has full opportunity to shape his overall karma,
his 'pankarma'. The time when this happens is probably when the individual
is about to step, from an immaterial existence, straight into the manifested
cosmos. The being is then formally one with the supreme divine existence.
Hence it can be said that it is neither God nor the being that decides, but
both. The Being sees the past epochs and perceives the coming ones; the
choice is therefore easy.
Pankarma in everyday life
What is the 'point' of pankarma, one might wonder, what purpose does it
serve? It is probably about broadening and gilding an individual's life
experience, creating dynamism and excitement. And when other beings
experience different destinies, the individual's experience of the world is
also enriched, it begins to vibrate and come alive. And so the fabric of
life flows on, ever-changing and unfathomable.
