Officially, women are men's equals, in working life, in politics and in
everyday life. Beneath the surface there is a different order where women
have to settle for lower pay and worse conditions. Is this an expression of
a male society, or are the reasons more profound?
The gender war
The old war of the sexes rages on like never before and shows no signs of
abating. Feministic movements emerges from time to time but never quite seem
to establish themselves on a more permanent basis. Different branches of
feminism express different directions and goals, but there is no consensus
except the notion that men are opposed to women's liberation. But is that
the case really, are men actively and permanently holding women down? What
does 'equality' mean in real life, does women actually want to become like
men are, and extinguish the differences?
How does the unspoken slogan go; “there are no good men, the only good man
is a dead man”? Does the road to equality between the sexes inevitably go
through open warfare which leads to a tipping of the scales whereby the
women "take power" over the men? Women sometimes openly express their
opinion that men are stupid, sluggish, single-minded, emotionally
underdeveloped and childish. Undoubtedly, men have problems, everyone knows
this fact. Perhaps it tells us a hidden truth about the woman in general;
how does she actually raise her sons?
The role of the intellect
Women and men evidently have different ways of thinking and they see life
from slightly different perspectives. Of course, you have to ignore the
individual differences that always exist, we are of course talking about men
and women in general terms. The man is, simply put, single-tracked but deep;
it is a conscious channel at work. As a rule, the man can only do one thing
at a time, often he thinks first, then he acts. This way of working
inevitably causes problems in the interaction with women, but of course
there are also advantages. The man has an ability to focus on individual
problems and see all its details, he is also good at structuring and
organizing.
The woman's nature is considerably more complicated, she has a superior
intellect but, paradoxically, is completely ignorant of how she herself
works. Women's simultaneous capacity is admittedly good, they are able to do
several things at once without the result being significantly worse. This
ability is certainly related to the organization of the brain, women have a
"higher degree of lateralization"; the brain hemispheres work independently
of each other, where each one has a word and an image function respectively.
The result is two independent centers of consciousness that can be used
simultaneously or each separately. The brain hemispheres are nevertheless
specialized for verbal and visual expressions.
Women sometimes switch between their centers of consciousness, often without
even knowing it. The consciousness in one hemisphere of the brain does not
always have the same mood as the other, which can give rise to some strange
situations. Men often (to their surprise) witness this scene change which
can be triggered by a certain gesture or by a choice of words. If the woman
herself is aware of the "transition" there is no problem, but how many women
know that the phenomenon exists? Another difference between the sexes is
that women seem to experience the world "twice"; first she experiences the
physical reality, then she reviews her experience of what actually took
place.
To summarize the role of the intellect, it is of the utmost importance that
women become aware of how they themselves function. Sighing and rolling your
eyes at men's idiocy is no way to solve problems. It is not up to women to
change men into something other than what they are, the woman's job is to
look at herself and learn something in the process. The universe, or God if
you will, aims to make men and women more alike without making them
identical, there is a development that works in the background. Everyone,
whether a man or a woman, must study his person, there is only one person
you can influence; yourself.
The feminine splendor
How does the woman generally see herself? One of the more common perceptions
seems to be that the woman has an image of herself as a victim. But the
picture is split because in the midst of self-denial, the woman is
"elevated", she considers herself too good to fight and lift herself out of
her situation. The woman often believes herself to be the good and bright
one, the one who always works for peace and harmony. The man, on the other
hand, is evil and dark, the man is raw and unrefined with sex and violence
as his only interests. The woman sees herself cast down on a dark and
inhospitable earth where she does not belong. She is more experienced, more
serious and more responsible than men (but she puts up with it for the sake
of the children).
It is hardly a coincidence that websites created by women are almost always
about angels and/or cats. The motif and content of these websites say
something about the female self-image. Angels are always good and brilliant
beings; clear, clean and without any stain, they seem to float a little
above the crowd. Cats also stay on their edge, they go their own way and
don't ask anyone else for advice. The cat is also holy, just as women want
to be holy (saints). After all, women don't swear and they don't resort to
violence, they are far above sexuality and they don't engage in trivial and
unnecessary things like playing. Thanks to the high virtue of woman, mankind
may endure, or…
That men have problems of various kinds is no news to anyone, but women also
have problems and this must reach the public debate. Women's problems are
hardly of a sporadic or superficial nature, women have fundamental
existential problems that are at least as dignified as any difficulty a man
may face. It happens that women use weak individuals as clubs to emphasize
their goodness, a famous statement in that style is: "We must think of the
children", implied; "I work for the good of the children, therefore I am
better than you". But we cannot differentiate between children, adults or
the elderly; everyone is human, it's the same values regardless of age.
Indulging in play
Many adults, and especially women, believe that they are better people the
less time they spend playing. But it's just the opposite, adults who dare to
engage in play become healthier as people. It is allowed and even desirable
to play as adults. What the play looks like is less important but one thing
is important; the play must be manifested in physical reality. Some women
say: "I certainly play, but in my thoughts"; sorry, but that's no valid
statement.
Fulfilled sexuality
Women must dare to live out their sexuality to the fullest, there must be an
end to the false moralism that no one believes in anymore anyway. Exactly
what the woman's inclinations and desires are is probably still somewhat
obscure, but the secrets must come out eventually. Spare us claims like the
woman would somehow have a more elevated sexuality because that just gets
pathetic. Women's sexuality may look different but it finally needs to come
out.
Channeled aggression
Did anyone think that women don't carry hatred and aggression? Think again
in that case, because the difference is only in how the aggressiveness is
released. It is not an ounce better to live out hatred and resentment
through wrapped phrases or through cunning schemes. Violence is violence and
it leads to damage to the environment, even if the violence is of an
invisible nature. Women should channel their anger into physical activities
that do little harm, for their own good and everyone's good.
The small difference
Seen from an esoteric perspective, differences between men and women are
highly temporary. We live in different forms of "soul radiation" which
defines us as men or women. This is a continuous process that has to do with
rebirth. We live 2x7 lives in male energies followed by 2x7 lives in female
energies and so on in eternal cycles. We can call off the gender war here
and now because no one is permanently and forever male or female.
It is certainly true that the woman has a "noble gene" in her blood, a
highly developed species of a spacefaring race had to stand as a model for
the female side of mankind. The male side evolved from a more earthy species
and hence the disproportionately large gap between the sexes (women are from
Venus, men from Mars). But the point is that both became human (for better
or for worse) and both must therefore be human, on the same terms.
The road to
equality
Is it really true that men have the power in society? That image can be
strongly questioned. It may be that men have traditionally held councils and
made decisions in extended families, in villages and in cities. But the
woman has of course always been involved behind the scenes, influencing her
husband's decisions and pushing through her will in obscure ways. The saying
"the cunning of a woman is beyond the reasoning of a man" illuminates the
situation quite well. The men may have the power "on paper" but the women
always have the last word.
Chinese wisdom books talk about opposites when you want to realize
something. For example: "He who wants to expand his kingdom must first make
it smaller", or "he who wants to wipe something dry should first make it
wet", or "he who wants to tie someone to himself should first let her go".
So what will be the equivalent for the woman who (with soul and heart) wants
to become man's equal? Which way should she go, how will she manage to
overcome any difficulties that may arise?
My answer to the woman of today is simple and clear:
Step down to earth and become fully human!
